OhioHealth In the Community

OhioHealth brings healthcare and health education to the community.

We look for ways to ensure that central, north central and southeast Ohio community members receive the care they need, regardless of their ability to pay.

Our community programs offer medical care and support to help you manage your health and well-being. Whether you’re looking for ways to manage a chronic illness, need care during or after pregnancy, or need a physical to participate in sports or work, you can turn to OhioHealth.

We offer free HPV vaccines to help prevent cancer.

Sexually transmitted HPVs (human papillomaviruses) can cause cancer, depending on their type. According to the American Cancer Society, about a dozen high-risk HPV types have been identified as cancer causes.

To help prevent these kinds of cancers, an HPV vaccine has been developed. The HPV vaccine can be effective any time from age 9 to 26. Ideally, boys and girls age 11 or 12 should receive the vaccine before their first sexual contact.

OhioHealth Community Health and Wellness offers the HPV vaccine for free. To get more information or to schedule an appointment for the HPV vaccine at OhioHealth Community Health and Wellness, please call (614) 566.9038.
