The OhioHealth Cardiac Rehabilitation is a comprehensive, 12-week program to help you return to a full and active life, while improving your long-term heart health.

In fact, studies by the American Heart Association show that people who take part in cardiac rehabilitation programs are less likely to have another heart event.

Who Should Participate in Cardiac Rehabilitation?

Patients who have had any of these conditions in the last year can benefit from cardiac rehabilitation:

  • Myocardial infarction/heart attack
  • Acute coronary syndrome (ACS)
  • Chronic stable angina
  • Recent cardiac procedure such as angioplasty or stent
  • Coronary artery bypass surgery (CABG)
  • Heart valve surgery
  • Heart failure

Our Cardiac Rehabilitation Services

Our experienced team of clinical cardiac rehabilitation specialists will teach you how to make changes in your life to improve your heart health. Depending on your condition, your individual cardiac rehabilitation program may include:

We also involve your family and caregivers to help motivate and support you during your journey so you can be successful during your cardiac rehabilitation program.

After you graduate from your cardiac rehab program, we will help you develop an ongoing fitness program. Graduates of the Grant Medical Center, Mansfield Hospital, McConnell Heart Health Center, Hardin Memorial Hospital and Shelby Hospital Cardiac Rehabilitation Programs receive free month of fitness membership to continue their exercise program.
