Restoring your sense of self

Look and feel your best throughout your cancer journey

Whether you’re going through cancer treatment, or have completed your care plan, persevering your self-identity can be an important part of recovery. These services are designed to help you do just that.

Cold Cap Therapy

One of the most common and distressing side effects of chemotherapy is hair loss. Cold cap therapy aims to prevent or minimize chemotherapy-induced hair loss. A special set of caps are cooled to very cold temperatures and worn on the head before, during and after each chemotherapy treatment. These cold temperatures constrict the blood vessels in the scalp, which may prevent some chemotherapy drugs from reaching the hair follicles, reducing or preventing hair loss. To be referred, speak with your doctor or nurse navigator to see if this treatment is right for you.
